This 6 day Northern Tanzania Safari takes you through some of Africa’s most celebrated national parks and game reserves. From the towering baobabs and elephant herds of Tarangire, to the tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, the endless plains of the Serengeti, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater — this journey is packed with wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, and immersive cultural experiences. Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Trek Africa Expeditions will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. You’ll settle in for the evening and receive a detailed briefing about your upcoming safari.
Overnight in Arusha (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 1: Arusha – Wildlife Walk and Game Drive in Arusha National Park
Your safari kicks off with a visit to Arusha National Park, nestled at the base of Mount Meru. Enjoy a scenic game drive around Lake Momella and the lush Ngurdoto Crater, spotting giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and more. You may even catch a glimpse of shy elephants or leopards.
Later, take a guided nature walk led by an armed ranger through the forest and up to a waterfall. This walk offers a chance to spot black-and-white colobus monkeys and experience Tanzania’s bush landscape on foot.
Return to Arusha for the evening.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Overnight in Mto wa Mbu
Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant populations and massive baobab trees. The park also boasts rich birdlife and wildlife such as lions, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, and baboons.
After your game drive, continue to the lively town of Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park – The Endless Plains
Head west to the legendary Serengeti National Park, known for its sweeping savannahs and incredible concentration of wildlife. Along the way, enjoy game viewing and stop for lunch on a scenic kopje (rocky outcrop).
Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, and more. If your visit aligns with the Great Migration, you’ll witness one of nature’s most extraordinary events.
Arrive at your camp or lodge in the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning Safari in Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti — a magical time when predators are most active. Watch as the sunrise paints the plains in golden hues while lions, cheetahs, and hyenas patrol their territory.
After a mid-morning breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim in time for sunset.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Drive to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive in one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems. Often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — as well as flamingos, hippos, hyenas, wildebeest, and more.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before continuing your journey to Lake Manyara.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
Lake Manyara is a lush, compact park set at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It’s famed for its tree-climbing lions, dark-coated giraffes, and birdlife, including flamingos, storks, and over 400 species of birds.
After a morning game drive and picnic lunch, return to Arusha where your safari concludes.
Optional: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
