Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Malaba Border and Transfer to Kampala for Overnight
Upon clearing immigration at the Malaba border, our seasoned guides from Trek Africa Expeditions will warmly receive you. Begin your journey driving to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital, where you’ll check in and spend the night.
Day 2: Drive from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
Embark on a scenic drive from Kampala, navigating through Mityana and Mubende. Traverse breathtaking landscapes adorned with tea plantations and lush forest reserves. Arriving in Fort Portal, indulge in a hearty lunch before heading to Kibale Forest National Park for check-in and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Kibale Forest
After a nourishing breakfast, journey to Kanyanchu Park Headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking by the park rangers. Dive into the heart of Kibale Forest as you embark on a trek to encounter a community of chimpanzees. Spend an enriching hour observing these fascinating creatures before returning to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 4: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, drive to Mweya for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. If time permits, embark on a short game drive in the Kasenyi plains to spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda Kob, leopards, and lions. Conclude the day by driving to the lodge for a well-deserved relaxation.
Day 5: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
Embark on a morning game drive, and later drive to Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park for captivating game drives and a memorable sundowner experience. Keep a keen eye out for the renowned tree-climbing lions, exhibiting their unique behavior. This day promises an ultimate wildlife encounter.
Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Embark on an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Later, indulge in a mid-morning game drive across the plains. After lunch, journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you’ll check in and unwind.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest
Fuel your day with breakfast before heading to the gorilla trekking starting point for a comprehensive briefing. The trek unfolds as you venture into the lush Bwindi Forest, ultimately discovering the majestic mountain gorillas. Spend an awe-inspiring hour in their presence before returning to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 8: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, commence your journey to Lake Mburo National Park for an evening game drive. Seek out diverse wildlife, including giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, topis, buffalo, zebras, and leopards. Return to the lodge for a tranquil evening.
Day 9: Drive to Entebbe
Embark on an early morning walking safari with a national park ranger, encountering wildlife on foot. After the walk, return to the lodge for relaxation and breakfast. Commence your drive to Entebbe, where, upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the airport for check-in for your outbound flight.
