By Road: Rushaga can be accessed by road from various locations. From Entebbe or Kampala, take the main highway and drive for approximately 8-9 hours. The route will take you through Kabale town and onward to Rushaga. Along the way, you can stop at Mpambire royal drum makers, the equator for photography, and the savannah grasslands on Kiruhura, where you’ll likely see the famous Ankole long-horned cattle grazing. Alternatively, if you’re traveling from Kigali, Rwanda, the journey is shorter, taking only 4-5 hours. You can opt to use the Katuna or Chanika border to enter Uganda and continue your journey to Rushaga.
