Nkuringo region is another remarkable gorilla trekking hub situated in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. To reach this captivating sector, you can embark on an 8-10 hour road journey from Kampala or a shorter 3-4 hour drive from Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. In Nkuringo, you will find three gorilla families available for trekking, namely Nkuringo, Christmas, and Bushaho (recently opened for gorilla trekking). In total, these families account for approximately 24 gorilla permits, each priced at USD800 per person per trek.
