Day 1: Transfer to Aberdare National Park – Evening Game Drive
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Aberdare National Park—a lush, mountainous region known for its cool climate and thick forest cover. After a lunch stop at the elegant Aberdare Country Club, you’ll proceed into the park for your first game drive.
Aberdare is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, buffalos, and the elusive bongo antelope. Keep your eyes peeled for rare species like the Giant Forest hog, African golden cat, and blue duiker. You’ll spend the night at the famous Ark Lodge, set in the heart of the forest overlooking a floodlit waterhole that attracts animals throughout the night.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Samburu National Reserve
Start your morning with another game drive in Aberdare before heading north to the arid and rugged Samburu National Reserve. This reserve offers a stark contrast to Aberdare’s forests and is known for its unique “Samburu Special Five”: the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and the graceful gerenuk.
After lunch en route, you’ll enjoy a late afternoon game drive before checking in to your lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Samburu – Wildlife & Culture
Spend the day exploring Samburu’s dusty savannas on morning and afternoon game drives. Besides the Samburu Special Five, the reserve is home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, and over 350 species of birds.
Later in the day, take a cultural visit to a traditional Samburu village. Learn about their semi-nomadic lifestyle, unique attire, and customs—a memorable addition to your safari.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via Nyahururu Falls
After breakfast, journey through the highlands, passing the spectacular Nyahururu (Thomson’s) Falls on your way to Lake Nakuru National Park. Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara – Afternoon Game Drive
Leave Lake Nakuru behind and travel through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. En route, admire views of Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha, and Mount Longonot.
