Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure kicks off with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River attracts a variety of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Tanzania for game viewing. Look out for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and leopards during your afternoon game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the river, where you may witness a predator in action.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for a Full Day Game Drives
After breakfast, head out to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact gem nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It’s also famous for tree-climbing lions and a wide range of wildlife including elephants, hippos, baboons, and giraffes.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Highlands

This world-famous park is home to the Great Migration and abundant resident wildlife including lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles.

Day 4&5: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti
Spend two full days exploring the iconic Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of year, you might also witness parts of the dramatic Great Migration.

Day 6: Sunrise Morning Game Drive in Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Begin your day with an early game drive to catch the stunning Serengeti sunrise. After brunch at the lodge, continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa and one of the last places where you can see black rhinos in the wild.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Transfer to Lake Eyasi
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience. The crater floor is teeming with animals – from elephants and zebras to flamingos and hippos. You might even spot the elusive black rhino. After lunch, drive to Lake Eyasi, a remote, seasonal soda lake on the Great Rift Valley floor, where you’ll engage in cultural activities the next day.

Day 8: Cultural Encounter with the Hadzabe Tribe – Fly to Uganda or Rwanda
Wake up early to meet the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. Join the Hadzabe men on a traditional hunt or follow the women as they forage for fruits and roots. This intimate cultural experience offers a rare glimpse into a vanishing way of life. Afterward, visit Lake Eyasi before transferring to Arusha for your evening flight to either Uganda (Entebbe) or Rwanda (Kigali).
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
On this day, your local driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the heart of mountain gorilla conservation. Enjoy scenic drives through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, with opportunities to stop at the Equator and interact with local communities along the way.

Day 10 : Gorilla Trekking Experience & Community Visit
Today is the highlight of your trip – mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. Once assigned a gorilla family, venture into the dense jungle with your rangers. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. When you find them, you’ll spend one magical hour in their presence – a truly life-changing experience. In the evening, take an optional walk to a nearby Batwa pygmy community to learn about their traditional forest-based culture.
