Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Your Hotel & Scenic Transfer to Bwindi Forest
Your journey into the heart of Uganda begins with a pickup from your hotel in Entebbe. After a warm welcome from your private guide, you’ll embark on a scenic road trip to the stunning Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the famous mountain gorillas.
Along the way, you’ll experience Uganda’s diverse landscapes, from papyrus wetlands and vibrant roadside markets to rolling hills and lush banana plantations. A stop at the Equator Crossing in Kayabwe offers the perfect photo opportunity as you straddle the line between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. You’ll also enjoy a leisurely lunch in Mbarara, a bustling town along the route.
As you continue toward your destination, the landscape transitions into the Kigezi Highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” with its breathtaking terraced hills and mist-filled valleys. Finally, you’ll arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its incredible gorilla populations.
Check in at your cozy forest lodge, unwind, and enjoy a delicious dinner. After a full day of travel, drift off to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, ready for the unforgettable adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – A Life-Changing Encounter in the Nkuringo Sector
Today is the moment you’ve been waiting for – an intimate encounter with mountain gorillas deep within Bwindi’s mystical rainforest.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla behavior, tracking guidelines, and the conservation efforts that make this experience possible. With your UWA ranger and tracker team, you’ll venture into the dense forest, guided by the sounds of rustling leaves and distant calls.
The trek can be challenging but is immensely rewarding. Once you find your assigned gorilla family, you’ll spend one magical hour observing their daily life – juveniles tumbling through the foliage, mothers cuddling infants, and the dominant silverback watching over his group. There’s nothing quite like locking eyes with a wild gorilla.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a late lunch and time to relax. In the afternoon, you may opt for a gentle community walk or simply enjoy the serene views from your veranda.
