After a hearty breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its large herds of elephants, with more than 2,500 elephants roaming freely across its vast plains. Spend the afternoon exploring other areas of Tarangire, including the swampy regions, where you might encounter large herds of buffalo or even elusive predators like cheetahs.

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from wetlands to savannah and forests. Today, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, the crown jewel of Tanzania’s safari destinations. Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, you’ll have time to check in at your lodge and then head out for an afternoon game drive. You’ll also have the chance to witness the vast migration of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, making for incredible photo opportunities.

Enjoy an early breakfast, and set off for a full-day game drive in the Mara River area. Here, the Great Migration is in full swing, and you’ll have the opportunity to observe wildebeests crossing the river, often battling against strong currents and crocodile-infested waters. The Mara River is also an excellent place for birdwatching and observing predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Your guide will help you track the movement of the herds, ensuring you don’t miss any of the action.

Following an early morning game drive, you’ll travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, with an en-route stop at Retima Hippo Pool to observe the fascinating hippos and other wildlife. Another option is a visit to a Masai Village, where you’ll learn about the Maasai people’s unique way of life and enjoy a performance of their traditional dances.
