Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Full Day Game Drives

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, this park offers a peaceful setting and excellent game viewing, especially during the dry season.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through varied landscapes, from open plains to riverine woodlands. Keep your eyes out for lions, zebras, giraffes, and over 300 bird species.

Drive time: Approx. 3 hours

Day 2: Transfer from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Evening Game Drives

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and head northwest toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. This long but rewarding drive takes you through the stunning highlands and across the Rift Valley. Optionally, stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world.

Arrive in the Serengeti in time for an evening game drive, when predators start to stir. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration—a truly epic wildlife spectacle.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro

Rise early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, one of the best times to see predators in action. After breakfast back at the lodge, begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for wildlife sightings along the way.

On the route, you have two optional experiences:

Visit a Maasai village to learn about traditional nomadic culture
Explore Olduvai Gorge and its fascinating archaeological museum

Arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 4: Explore Ngorongoro Crater and Later Transfer Back to Arusha – Big Five Finale

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and home to some of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa.

Spend the day exploring the crater floor, where you’ll have excellent chances of spotting lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before beginning your drive back to Arusha in the afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
