Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park – Afternoon Game Drive
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha, where your driver-guide will escort you to Lake Manyara National Park. Although the smallest park on this itinerary, Lake Manyara is brimming with wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and various bird species. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos near the lake.
After lunch at your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems, including the stunning Rift Valley escarpment. In the late afternoon, you can opt for a short hike to enjoy the scenic beauty and visit a local community.

Day 2: Transfer from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Evening Game Drives
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and head northwest toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. This long but rewarding drive takes you through the stunning highlands and across the Rift Valley. Optionally, stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world.
Arrive in the Serengeti in time for an evening game drive, when predators start to stir. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration—a truly epic wildlife spectacle.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day immersed in the wildlife-rich landscapes of the Serengeti. Sunrise game drives offer the best chances of spotting early-morning predators like lions and leopards. After the drive, enjoy a relaxing bush breakfast in the wild before continuing your safari exploration.
You’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five, along with other species such as cheetahs, hippos, zebras, and a variety of birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the plains before continuing with your afternoon game drive. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive in Serengeti and Later Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – Scenic Drive & Hippo Pool
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive and then depart for Ngorongoro Crater, with an en-route stop at Retima Hippo Pool, where you can see hippos and other wildlife up close. Optionally, visit Olduvai Gorge, the famous archaeological site, or enjoy a cultural experience at a Masai village.
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the evening, where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by stunning views.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha – Wildlife & Farewell
On your final day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. With year-round water and abundant fodder, this unique ecosystem supports a wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, and black rhinos.
Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake home to flocks of flamingos and other birdlife, and enjoy your final game drive in the crater. Afterward, drive back to Arusha for your drop-off, marking the end of your safari adventure.
