Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Hike to the Top of the Falls
Your Murchison Falls safari begins with a pick-up from Entebbe Airport or your hotel in Kampala. After a warm welcome from your guide, you’ll head north, driving through the picturesque Ugandan countryside. On your way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see white rhinos. Here, you’ll take a short walking tour, getting up close with these magnificent creatures, and enjoy some birdwatching in the area.
Continue the drive to Murchison Falls National Park, enjoying the scenic beauty as you approach the park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, have dinner, and relax before embarking on a hike to the top of the falls. From here, you’ll witness the sheer power of the Murchison Falls as the Victoria Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge and plummets 43 meters into the river below—a breathtaking sight!

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Boat Safari to the Bottom of the Falls
After an early breakfast, set off for a morning game drive in the park’s Northern Delta Nile. As you navigate through the park, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, Rothschild’s giraffes, oribis, and baboons. The park is also home to a diverse bird population, so be sure to have your binoculars ready for birdwatching.
After a relaxing lunch at your lodge, enjoy a boat safari on the Victoria Nile River, which takes you to the bottom of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise offers an incredible view of the falls as it surges from below, surrounded by the lush greenery of the park. Along the riverbanks, you’ll likely spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of aquatic birds such as kingfishers and pelicans.
Following the boat cruise, you’ll embark on a hike to the top of the falls for a closer look at the impressive Murchison Falls. Standing at the top of the falls, you’ll witness the stunning sight of water gushing through the narrow gorge and tumbling into the river below.

Day 3: Early Morning Game Drive & Return to Entebbe
On the final day of your safari, begin the day with an early morning game drive, when the park comes alive with activity. You may catch predators such as lions and leopards returning to their hideouts after a night of hunting, while elephants and giraffes begin their daily grazing routines.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Kampala. Along the way, pass through the Budongo Forest route, a beautiful area offering panoramic views of Lake Albert from the Rift Valley escarpment. As you drive, you’ll see the lush green landscapes and local villages that make this area so vibrant.
Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred to Entebbe for your departure flight.
