Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
Your guide will pick you up in the morning from Entebbe or Kampala and set off on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes—watch as the city gives way to rolling hills, banana plantations, and the distinctive Ankole long-horned cattle. You’ll also pass through the picturesque tea estates near Ishaka.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax before heading out for an evening game drive in the park. This is your chance to spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and if you’re lucky, the elusive leopard or lion winding down for the evening.

Return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a relaxing boat cruise, one of the top highlights of this safari. The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and attracts a remarkable number of wildlife. Expect to see hippos basking in the water, elephants cooling off along the shores, buffaloes, crocodiles, and a stunning array of birds including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.

After a safety briefing, venture into the forest with your ranger guide in search of these energetic primates. The trek takes about 2–4 hours, depending on the location of the chimps. Once you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing their behavior in the wild—watch them swing through trees, communicate, and forage for food.
Kalinzu Forest is also a haven for other wildlife, including olive baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and over 350 bird species. After the trek, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. You’ll stop for lunch along the way and enjoy the beautiful countryside views as you wrap up your 3-day safari adventure.
