Day 1: Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your adventure begins as our guide picks you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali. From here, you’ll be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The journey takes you across the Cyanika or Katuna border, where you’ll enter Uganda.
As you travel, be prepared to be mesmerized by the stunning views of the Kigezi Highlands, with rolling hills and valleys forming a dramatic backdrop. The journey, approximately 4-5 hours, offers an authentic glimpse of the region’s natural beauty. Upon arrival at Bwindi, check into your lodge for the evening and relax.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Mgahinga
After a hearty breakfast, head to Bwindi’s park headquarters for your gorilla trekking experience. You’ll receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of trekking with these magnificent creatures, followed by your group allocation.
Your trek through the lush forest to locate the gorilla group may be physically demanding, but the rewards are immeasurable. Once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll be allowed one hour to observe them in their natural habitat—an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and photographers alike. Afterward, return to the park headquarters to collect your gorilla tracking certificate.
Following this adventure, you’ll proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, a short drive away. Spend the night at a comfortable lodge near the park.
