Day 2: The Extraordinary Gorilla Trekking Expedition
With the break of dawn, assemble at the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing by park rangers on etiquette and guidelines for the gorilla encounter. Setting off at 9:00am, navigate the trails that guide you to the heart of these endangered giants’ habitat. Equipped with a packed lunch, your expedition into the lush wilderness can span between 2 to 9 hours, dictated by the movements of the primates. Despite the challenging terrain, encountering these remarkable relatives of humankind erases any traces of difficulty. The experience is profound, and you’ll return to the park offices to be awarded the gorilla trekking certificate. Day 3: Farewell to Bwindi – Journey to Kampala / Entebbe Intn’l Airport
As the sun ascends, commence your journey back to Kampala. En route, capture the magic of the Equator Line Mark with a photography stop. A final stopover for lunch punctuates your journey, culminating as you reach Kampala in the late afternoon. Settle into your hotel for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay or head to the airport for your departure flight.
