When to Visit Tanzania for the Best Safari Experience

Dry Season (June to October) – Peak Safari Season

• Best wildlife visibility as animals gather at waterholes.

• The Great Migration river crossings occur in the Serengeti.

• Fewer mosquitoes and cooler, dry weather.

• Ideal for photography and family travel.

Green Season (November to May) – Lush Landscapes and Fewer Tourists

• November to December (Short Rains) – Beautiful scenery and excellent birding.

• March to May (Long Rains) – Lush and quiet, but some parks can be inaccessible.

• January to February – Perfect for calving season in the southern Serengeti.

Planning Tips:

• Book Early: Especially for June–October when demand is high.

• Consider Southern Parks: Selous and Ruaha offer rich wildlife experiences with fewer crowds.

• Check Seasonal Highlights: Match your travel dates to key events like migration crossings or cultural festivals.
