Itinerary for the 2 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari in Rwanda:

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village Visit

Upon breakfast or arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet with a representative from Trek Africa Expeditions for a brief overview of the trip. Start your scenic drive to Musanze town, a two-hour journey from Kigali, offering picturesque views of hills and beautiful countryside. Check-in at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and in the afternoon, explore the Iby’Iwachu cultural village, renowned as the former home of ex-poachers. Immerse yourself in their day-to-day life and activities. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Encounter Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park

Following an early morning breakfast, meet your driver/guide and proceed to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Enjoy local entertainment and a cup of coffee while awaiting a briefing from the ranger guide. Receive your assigned gorilla group to trek and transfer to meet your guide for the day. Embark on a forest walk to search for the gentle giants of Volcanoes National Park. Porters are recommended to assist with carrying backpacks and providing support during the trek.
