Originally established as a campsite, Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge underwent a transformation into a lodge in 2007. Since then, it has stood as a pinnacle of quality accommodation in the region, providing a haven of comfort. The dedicated and hospitable staff, ranging from front desk personnel to chefs and security staff, ensure an unparalleled guest experience.

The lodge boasts 8 garden cottages, 3 villas featuring 2 superior cottages, and 1 family villa. Constructed with indigenous materials harmonizing with nature, each cottage offers a sitting area, a private veranda, and en-suite bathrooms.

Rooted in its commitment to the local community, Nkuringo Walking Safaris, the original campsite’s parent organization, has continued to invest in the lodge’s growth. How to Reach

Located approximately 300m from Nkuringo Visitors’ Centre in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the lodge is a mere 15 minutes’ walk from the center. It offers convenient access to the Rushaga sector, allowing guests to embark on gorilla trekking adventures.

By road, the journey takes around 10 hours from Kampala or Entebbe and about 7 hours from Kigali. For a swift journey by air, a 90-minute flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip, followed by a seamless transfer to the lodge, provides a luxurious alternative.
