For enthusiasts, there’s an option to pre-purchase an additional Gorilla permit for a second visit on Day 3, altering the itinerary.
Day 4 involves a long travel day back to Kampala. This unique Uganda Gorilla Short Break provides a slightly different experience from group tours, with a local guide offering a level of independence during downtime.
Important Notes:
- Minimum age for Mountain Gorilla trekking is 15 years.
- A deposit is required to secure your Gorilla permit in advance, along with a scanned copy of your passport at the time of booking.
- The trip begins with a welcome meeting at the start point hotel at 9 am. Departure follows shortly after the meeting.
- Plan your departure flight for Day 4 after 9 pm to accommodate any delays.
Essential Trip Information: Physical Rating:
Participants need to be fit for a trek of up to 7 hours in hot and humid conditions, navigating hills and potentially slippery terrain. Carrying personal necessities, including water, a rain jacket, and camera equipment, is expected during the trek.
Joining Point Instructions:
For those with pre-booked transfers, drivers will be at the arrivals section with your name and the Trek Africa Expeditions logo. In case of delays beyond an hour, communication is crucial to keep the driver informed.
