Embarking on a gorilla tracking expedition doesn’t have to break the bank. With our specialized tours, we offer backpackers the chance to join scheduled trips to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks, as well as other national parks for wildlife viewing and boat safaris. By joining small groups, you can significantly reduce the overall tour cost while still enjoying a comprehensive experience. Our meticulously crafted itineraries, designed by our Tour Leaders and Safari Consultants, ensure that you spend less time driving, enjoy two nights’ accommodation in carefully selected lodges, hotels, or camps, and have ample opportunity to immerse yourself in a variety of activities.
Trek Africa Expeditions takes the hassle out of obtaining Gorilla permits and Chimpanzee permits for our backpacker tours with scheduled dates. Early booking not only enhances your chances of securing permits but also allows you to benefit from reduced costs. These permits are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so reaching out to us in advance ensures you secure your spot on our scheduled trips before the permits run out.
Our group tours are guaranteed to operate with a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine travelers per trip. If any of our scheduled dates pique your interest, get in touch to confirm availability. In cases where a trip has fewer participants, we provisionally reserve your slot until more travelers join in, eventually forming a complete group. It’s essential to note that our scheduled trips tend to fill up swiftly during the peak season. To secure your place, we recommend booking at least three months ahead of your safari, particularly for the months of June and December in both 2024 and 2025. Additionally, December, January, and February witness high demand, so timely inquiries and reservations are advised.
At Trek Africa Expeditions, responsible travel is our ethos. We ensure that your journey not only offers a remarkable experience but also positively impacts local communities. Through activities such as Community Walks and the purchase of local crafts, your visit directly contributes to community development.
